We've personally tested the light in a Chicago neighborhood during fall and it performed well. After exposure to daylight for about eight hours, it gave off enough light to illuminate a path for about four hours and provided path definition for two more hours. The lamp is well constructed of stainless steel and has excellent photovoltaic cells with two Ni Cd batteries. In fact, it is one of the best solar lights available on the market. It's rechargeable up to 500 times before batteries need replaced.
